Which Idea Should You Launch First?
Your best idea isn’t the one you love most — it’s the one you’ll actually launch. Here’s how to spot it.

(When You’ve Got Too Many Ideas to Choose From)
Hey there fellow side hustler!
One of the most common struggles for new side hustlers isn’t a lack of ideas—it’s having too many. You’ve got a notebook (or a brain) full of possibilities: digital products, coaching offers, templates, services… and instead of launching any of them, you stall out trying to pick the “right” one.
Here’s the truth: you don’t need the “perfect” idea. You need the first idea that gets you moving.
🔽 The Launch Filter: 3 Simple Questions
When you’re stuck between multiple ideas, run each through this quick filter:
Speed to Launch — Which one could you put out there fastest? (Think: days, not months.)
Ease of Delivery — Which idea requires the least moving parts or tech to fulfill?
Energy Level — Which idea excites you enough that talking about it doesn’t feel like pulling teeth?
The idea that scores the highest across these three questions is your green light.
✅ Why This Works
Speed matters more than scope. A fast launch gives you momentum.
Ease reduces friction. If it’s too complex, you’ll stall before you even start.
Energy keeps you consistent. The more naturally you can talk about your idea, the easier it will be to sell.
💡 A Quick Example
Let’s say your list looks like this:
A full online course (big scope, months to build)
A 1:1 coaching call (deliverable = just show up)
A done-for-you service (needs systems, but doable)
Through the filter:
Fastest to launch? Coaching call.
Easiest to deliver? Coaching call.
Most energy? Maybe the service.
In this case, coaching calls win. Not because they’re your ultimate business vision, but because they get you started now.
🤔 The Key Mindset Shift
Don’t think of this as your forever offer. Think of it as your starter launch. Your first step. You can—and will—iterate later. The only way to find out which ideas truly have traction is to test them in the real world.
👉 Your Action Step: Pick one idea today using the 3-question filter. Write it down. Commit to launching just that one in the next two weeks.
Your future side hustler self will thank you for not overthinking it.
Keep it simple.
